Hey, NYU Welcome Weekers! My name is Kaya Mendelsohn and I’m a rising sophomore who’s SUPER excited about being a Welcome Week leader this year! I had the best time last summer during Welcome Week 2012, and I hope you all are extra stoked!
One of my favorite things I did last year was go to the A Cappella Showcase. The a cappella groups at NYU are completely amazing and the showcase was truly a privilege to watch. I got so excited about NYU a cappella and auditioned for a few of the groups during my first weeks at NYU! I am now a proud member and the Social Media Chair of the NYU Cleftomaniacs, the premiere (and totally aca-awesome) all-girls group at NYU! Last year, we performed at fun concerts, went to a free screening of Pitch Perfect, sang at the White House, and met the president! Don’t believe me? Here’s proof ;)
